Risi-Krohn Ferrari Team at 12 Hours of Sebring: Post-Race Report March 21, 2009

2009 - Sebring Ferrari 430 GT2

Tracy W. Krohn, Nic Jönsson and Eric van de Poele drove their No. 61 Risi-Krohn Ferrari 430 GT to a sixth place GT2 class finish and 13th overall in the 57th Annual 12 Hours of Sebring race in Sebring, Florida. The trio drove a relatively trouble-free effort from the 12th place class starting position. Although they did not meet their goal of defending their 2008 third-place finish with another podium placement, they graciously accepted their finish, considering the tough competition in the American Le Mans Series field. Their sister car, Houston-based Risi Competizione's No. 62 Ferrari 430 GT of Jaime Melo, Mika Salo and Pierre Kaffer, won the GT2 class by two laps over the next competitor. They finished eighth overall, catapulting them into the GT2 championship lead for the American Le Mans Series season.
